-Reads instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
-Machine Termination process includes attaching pins and sockets onto a stripped conductor or lead connected to the output end of a circuit, cable assembly.
-Attaches ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip.
-Strip and prep assemblies as required.
-Must have the ability to follow Process sheet instructions, if applicable.
-6 months or more of manufacturing experience
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization
-Read, interpret and follow blueprints, wire diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, schematics and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
-Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun, torque drivers, etc..
-Performing soldering as required
-Maintain inventory and organization of product in work area/stations
-Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
-Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
-Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
-Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
1-2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required
Determine supplier capabilities and works with multiple suppliers to establish a competitive environment.
Able to effectively interact with team members. Communicates internal problems or issues to managers. Cooperates with coworkers and helps team leaders meet goals. Shares information and ideas with the team. Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities.
-Main contact for suppliers-handle questions, comments and obsolete parts
-Administer Shortages (expedite, order samples, make phone calls and follow-up)
-Orders items for Safety Stock (2 card system)
-Advise Account Managers of lead time issues
-Vendor returns (Follow thru with credits and replacements; work with AP)
-Advise Sr.Buyer/Planner when blanket and master PO's are 60% complete.
-Responsible for AVL and setting up new vendor in vendor maintenance
-Suggest items to be added to consignment to the Sr Buyer
-Order non-inventory items with appropriate approvals
-Other purchasing projects as assigned
-Add items to consignment using tools like queries and report
-Add cost changes and merges to cost change database and Customer ECO checklist.
Must have 2-3 years procurement experience in this type of industry.
Need to be willing to learn and be trained in knowledge of IPC 610 / IPC 620 Standards, customer workmanship standards and ISO Requirements. Will need to inspect various electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts for conformance to customer specifications by performing the following duties:
-Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
-Will need to coordinate and prioritize daily activity for inspection within shop floor
-Work with floor Supervisor to prioritize large jobs to be tested.
-Be able to communicate and help out all other QA reps when asked
-Examine layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies, hardware, and components to detect assembly errors.
-Must have full knowlege of how to set up, use and explain the Cirris tester.
-Must be able to understand acceptable crimps and solder joints
-Will need to perform first PC inspection, be able to use various measuring tools, such as Micrometers and Pull Testers.
-Must be able to perform in-process inspection
-Should be familiar with Data Entry
-Examines production documents, in accordance with specifications, to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps are performed according to specifications.
-Must be able to indentify areas of improvement through the review of the assembly process and inspection steps that are in place.
-Always maintains professional demeanor and work within the guidelines of the company policies and standards
-Must have knowledge of IPC-620 class.
Materials Control Clerk
Need to be user friendly to all employees with out exception on a daily basis. Be able to deal with interruptions in order to keep the production team efficient. The ability to work with others daily, share in the responsibilities of filling kits, open incoming materials and handle incoming inspection are just some of the daily activities for this position.
- Ability to work /communicate with others professionally on a daily basis.
- Have some computer experience and able to learn new things.
- Inventory control activities, i.e. Cycle counts, review material in cells for obsolete or low used inventory,issue scrap etc.
- Open incoming material, review packing slips & enter Receipt of Goods in SAGE.
- Process the material that has been opened quickly and accurately to the cells.
- Incoming Inspection
- Possibly work on the floor if you are caught up.
- Other Inventory control projects which may include Consignment Audits, Inventory Transactions, Shortage Sheet Updates, etc.
